The next section we craft in our local branch WAU may fail, is a decorated potplanthouer. glass storage containers With my fountain pen I make a tick next to that article in my Program. And in my mind do the ideas: how can I decorate it, where am I going to get a pot .... I would do it! In the garage I'm struck by a boepenspot which the paint has been peeled. It just stood there. Neglected. Haggard. Abandoned. glass storage containers Only.
I grabbed the pot with a song in my heart, it was pretty clean in the sink on the back porch. Now the fun begins. I dig in the closet in my room working between various store-good: mosïeksteentjies, bits of ribbon, shoelaces ... you know. The button look! Since I do not really have any sewing, other than my husband's shirts or pants off the buttons now and then to work, I can now select between glorious a variety of buttons.
I stick the stones and buttons with cold glue on the edge of the pot down. So I teëlsement and smear it with just my bare hands around the pot, like a man A baby's bottom filled the cream. Now it is even and dry. Meanwhile, I do other things. One must surely glass storage containers have patience in life ... the next day I paint ocher, the color of clay from the earth. Once dry, paint again ... rusty. Rich and delicious.
Later I paint in black, play nice and make patterns. With a gold calligraphy pen I print dots around the edge of the pattern. Now it looks just spickerish! I make mosaïeksteentjies clean with a damp cloth. The pot is dry. I look at it from a distance: nowhere in the world there is such a pot. My pot gets a place of honor on the kiaathoutafel with the ball-and-claw legs that I long back to Aunt Lydia bought. It stands in the foyer waiting for each successive visitor with a warm welcoming smile. A Potplanthouer that status.
A wonderful creative process and see what happens! It is so beautiful Elizabeth, truly something to be proud of. A beautiful piece perfect for Aunt Lydia's table! When can we start buying them ...? Delete Reply
