Hannis asked a question about the dress shoe boxes and I had just picked up a bunch of boxes that I would dress, and scratched my head and asked myself, what was it you did?! So I first made a small nödguide :) with some old pictures and put it out in the blog. But when I dressed my shoebox so I took the opportunity to document. So here (trumvirvel!!) The Complete guide on how to dress a shoebox with fabric! :) I glue with General purpose and it's really the "wrong" because the idea is the most watery of all water-based glue and can make sure your box may be dented, or that the sides start to curl inward. If you take too much glue so it usually works fine anyway, but is there any extra weight board so I should organization ideas probably use a glue that is more intended for paper. 1) The circumference plus a little to the length of the fabric. I have weight tape measure for that is exactly what I do with the fabric then, and slightly overlapping, so 93 cm, the length of this shoe box. 2) The width of the fabric is so much you want it to go down the inside, 4 cm I chose, plus the height and then a little more than halfway. 3) The fabric is glued around cardboard, slightly organization ideas overlapping on the short side, and fold the top a bit to get it neat. Then fold the fabric down towards the inside. 4) On the bottom is folded "kuvertvikning", and fold the edge of the upper low. 5) The fabric for the cover is measured only straight above plus down the inside, the length and width measured in the same manner. 6) The cover ... For it not to be too many layers when the fabric is glued to measuring up I posted a piece that should be cut. Fold the fabric on the long side and the short side then, mark the corner and the fabric organization ideas on the edge on the short side, see my red needles. 7) Measure at all four corners and cut off the pieces. 8) Fold and glue the sides. On the short side, tucked the fabric so that it becomes like a package, though straight down along the corner and not sloping inward as you do well on the package. And if you want you can cut off some of the folded cloth to get as little fabric as possible on the inside, organization ideas and I'll do the next shoebox for two-layer fabric allows the cover to be a little too slow.
You are a rock! Have realized that now when I move to a studio so I learn to get me stylish storage that does not take so much space. And lined cartons are just the kind of stylish storage =)) Fine Sunday to you! April 15, 2012 07:43
I can add a few tips! 1. Use glue stick instead of liquid glue. For otherwise the cartons had been so great förhopningar to be very bubbly as I said. 2nd Use the advantage of construction paper instead fr shiny and thin wrapping paper. For then there will then also himlans bubbly. 3rd Shoeboxes are many times better than the boxes from Ikea that are different strange folds and edges that stick up for the man dressing over the elements, it also becomes bubbly. Yes, there might also get a glimpse into my kartonginklädningsprojekt from last weekend ...? Though some were actually really good, even if no one is so so handsome on the bottom as yours! And I have not been coming to me Stoff and style either! Why not located more conferences to such a store instead of hardships organization ideas in the forest? But jeez, clearly you need thirty yards of fabric, especially if you get it for 50 bucks! And something I will surely to do with it! April 16, 2012 21:22
