The Wonders of the Solar System (Wonders of the Solar System) | The skeptic wandering
Wonders of the Solar System is a documentary hanger 2 in 4 episodes of the solar system. The presenter, Professor Brian Cox, a particle physicist Englishman who participates in one of the LHC experiments at CERN, is a very good communicator, able to present hanger 2 arguments potentially difficult parts of astrophysics using a clear and concise language for non-specialists work and has the undoubted ability to convey his fascination with the discovery and his admiration for nature and physics.
With these ingredients Brian goes on a journey to the world, which leads him from India to the Arctic Circle, passing through Chile, the United States and Tunisia, among others. Through the stages of this royal journey takes us on a virtual trip (accompanied by stunning animations that blend seamlessly with images and real footage taken by our probes) to the discovery of our solar system, starting from its engine, the Sun, through its planets and their moons, and finally coming to the extreme coasts of our knowledge to ourselves one of the most important questions of which we still have no answer: is there life in the solar system outside of that on Earth?
The documentary, given its recent publication, there is currently only in English, but, of course, the DVD version has subtitles (always in English). If you're familiar with the language of Albion I strongly suggest you buy (or rent, or make you pay) the documentary and prepare to see wiped out some of your certainties about the world in which we live. If you do not have sufficient familiarity with English, write to the RAI asking him to translate and recreate: I'm sure that would be a great opening movie for four future episodes of Discovery Channel.

Now it's been a long time ... and unfortunately these beautiful documentaries have not yet been translated. We are beginning to subtitle the video clips from the BBC on YouTube, maybe we can not do much but it's a shame not to know this series here in Italy.
